The Activist City / Gideon Boie & Lieven de Cauter

The Activist City explores the intersections of political, urban, and architectural activism, examining how civic engagement shapes contemporary cities. While political activism unfolds in urban space and urban activism focuses on the city itself, architectural activism challenges the traditional alignment of architecture with power and capital. The book argues that architects increasingly contribute their disciplinary expertise to grassroots movements, giving rise to new forms of activist architecture.
