1. Scope
These Terms apply to all orders placed through corpusbookshop.com. By using the website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
These Terms apply to consumers. If you are purchasing for professional or commercial purposes, please contact us before ordering.
2. Products and availability
Corpus Bookshop offers books, magazines, printed matter and related objects selected for our online shop.
We take care to ensure that product descriptions, prices, images and availability information are accurate. However, colours may vary between screens, and minor differences may occur between images and the physical item.
Stock availability is shown as accurately as possible but cannot be guaranteed. If a title is unavailable after you have placed an order, we will contact you promptly to offer an alternative, a later delivery, or a refund.
Many titles can be ordered on request through our network of publishers and distributors. Please contact us to find out more.
3. Orders
An order is placed when you complete checkout and receive an order confirmation by email. This confirmation acknowledges receipt of your order; it does not necessarily mean that the order has been accepted.
We may refuse or cancel an order where a product is unavailable, a price or stock error has occurred, payment cannot be authorised, or there are reasonable grounds to suspect fraud. If payment has already been taken, we will refund the amount paid for the unavailable or cancelled item.
Please ensure that your delivery address and contact details are complete and accurate before confirming your order.
4. Prices and payment
All prices are shown in euros and include VAT where applicable. Delivery charges, if any, are shown during checkout before you confirm payment.
Payment must be made using the payment methods offered at checkout. Payments are processed securely by our payment providers; Corpus Bookshop does not store full payment-card details.
Prices and product information may change at any time, but these changes will not affect an order already confirmed by us, except where a clear pricing error has occurred.
5. Delivery
We dispatch orders to the destinations made available at checkout. Delivery times are indicative and may vary according to destination, carrier availability, publisher supply and other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
We will contact you if an unusual delay affects your order. If we cannot supply an item within a reasonable time, you may cancel the relevant part of the order and receive a refund.
Risk in the goods passes to you when the order is delivered to you, or to a person you have designated to receive it.
6. Right of withdrawal and returns
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have the legal right to withdraw from an online purchase within 14 calendar days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason.
To exercise this right, please notify us clearly within the 14-day period by emailing info@corpusbookshop.com. You may use the model withdrawal form below, but you do not have to.
After notifying us, please return the goods within 14 days to the following address:
Corpus Bookshop*
Rue Arthur Diderich 83
1190 Forest, Belgium
Items must be returned in their original condition. You are responsible for any loss in value resulting from handling the goods beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.
Unless an item is faulty, incorrect or damaged on arrival, the cost of return postage is your responsibility.
We will refund the price of the returned item and the standard outbound delivery cost, where required by law, using the original payment method. We may wait to issue the refund until we have received the returned goods or evidence that they have been sent back, whichever occurs first.
This right of withdrawal does not apply where legal exceptions apply, including personalised goods and sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed.
7. Damaged or incorrect items
Please inspect your order on arrival. If an item is damaged, defective or incorrect, contact us as soon as possible at **info@corpusbookshop.com** and include your order number and photographs of the issue where possible.
This does not affect your statutory rights. We will work with you to arrange an appropriate replacement, refund or other remedy.
8. Intellectual property
All content on corpusbookshop.com—including text, graphics, photographs, logos, design and website structure—is owned by Corpus Bookshop or used with permission. You may not reproduce, distribute or use this content for commercial purposes without our written permission.
Product images, descriptions and publisher information may be owned by publishers, authors, artists or other rights holders.
9. Website use
You agree not to use the website in a way that is unlawful, fraudulent, harmful or likely to interfere with its security or operation.
We may update, change, suspend or discontinue parts of the website when necessary. We do not guarantee that the website will always be available or free from errors.
10. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your mandatory consumer rights.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Corpus Bookshop is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of the website or from an order.
11. Personal data
We process personal data in accordance with our [Privacy Policy](https://corpusbookshop.com/policies/privacy-policy).
12. Applicable law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Belgian law. If you are a consumer habitually resident in another country of the European Union, you also benefit from any mandatory protections provided by the law of your country of residence.
In the event of a dispute, we encourage you to contact us first so that we can try to find a solution. Where permitted by law, Belgian courts will have jurisdiction.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when necessary to reflect changes to our services, business practices or legal requirements. The current version will always be available on this page, with the revision date shown at the top.
